Vanessa Vortex has been a circus fan her entire life. Raised in New York City by Broadway superstars, Vanessa was trained in dance, music and theater as a child.
After a rebellion of studying science and earning a college degree, Vanessa now draws on years of growing up under dancing feet and behind the backstage curtain.

Miss Vortex performs several acts using multiple circus style hoops. Her unique tricks are inspired by poi, staff twirling, juggling, rhythmic gymnastics and dance hooping. She has made appearances across North America as part of circus and vaudeville shows and as a solo artist in nightclubs and at special events.

She is eager to collaborate with other performers and is especially attracted to traveling circus shows. In addition to dazzling displays of hula hoop amazement, Vortex practices and performs fire dancing, juggling, aerial acrobatics and acrobalance. In her free time she practices music and yoga, teaches hula hoop classes for all ages and fabricates custom hula hoops.
